Dunlop Sportsmart 3
Are you looking for beautiful HD footage of this tyre getting toasted on track? Then look elsewhere, because this is just me talking about my experience of using this tyre on road and (mainly) track for three thousand miles. How does it perform? Is it better than the Roadsmart 3 (review link below)

Yamaha Tracer 9 GT first impressions review
Переглядів 1,7 тис.2 роки тому
A quick 'n' dirty review of the spanking new Tracer 9 GT. Is it worth £12k of your hard earned? Ermmmmmm......... probably not. A couple of things I forgot to mention: The electronics package includes cruise control. It works well. Filling the tank up is a bit of a pain - you fill it to the neck, wait for the air to burp out, fill it to the neck again, wait again... By the time I arrived home a...
Fuel tap / petcock GSX-R 750WS 1995
Переглядів 3,1 тис.3 роки тому
I disassemble and reassemble the fuel tap from a 1995 GSX-R750WS, and explain how this type of vacuum-operated tap works. Unfortunately, I don't show you how to fix the fact it leaks like a sieve. If you have any ideas, pop them in the comments. The GSX-R fuel taps are notorious for being as fluid-tight as a chocolate teapot, and this one is no different, despite a brand new rebuild kit a few w...
Sealey brake bleeder set review
Переглядів 4,3 тис.3 роки тому
I have to say I was a bit sceptical of this, but it was absolutely fantastic. The check valve in the lid meant that I could just open the bleed valves, pump the lever, and gravity and capillary action did the rest. Bled up a completely dry system in 45 minutes. Highly recommended. I bought mine here: www.wemoto.com/parts/picture/sq-vs0201
Dunlop Roadsmart 3 review - trackday tyre???
Переглядів 3,2 тис.3 роки тому
A review of the Dunlop Roadsmart 3 tyre - can a sports touring tyre really cut it on track? (For the avoidance of doubt, that sticker at 04:02 for Donington - I know it says 2016, but it was actually 2020. I guess they were just using up some old stickers.)
Cadwell Park Inters 31_08_20

A few laps of Cadwell on my CBR600RR 05, during which I occasionally come within arm's length of an apex. As always, apologies for the appalling video and sound quality - filmed on a 20 quid action cam. The wife's going to buy me a proper camera for Xmas if I'm a good boy. So don't hold your breath.

MT10 seat fix
Переглядів 27 тис.6 років тому
Simple fix for the sloppy seat fitment on the MT10. Apologies for the poor sound quality.
Can I ask a question , what’s the length in MM , eye to eye length on The MT10 shock you took off . I’m thinking of fitting a R1 shock and was worried about the length 👍😎 thanks for all the heads up . I’ve just ordered some captive wheel spacers . Thanks again .
Damn I wish I could EVER get anything close to those kinds of miles! All I ride is twisty courses and my tires dont last for CRAP! I get so jealous when I hear people talking of the thousands of miles they get on the same tire I have had. My record mileage for rear tire was 1300miles and that last couple hundred I should NOT have done they were that worn. My OE Bridegestones I only got 600miles to the wear bar on the rear then tried to milk it to 1000 but my conscience and will to survive would not allow me to do over 900miles. I dont do any burn outs or stupidity like that just a lot of cornering which apparently destroys tires like crazy
Much appreciate the review! I have these fitted on my bike and was curious if they were worthy of a track day as a beginner rider. I’ve loved my RSiii’s and now that I know they are worthy of a track day or two, I love them even more!
How do you know when theyll go? Whats the feeling like that you mentioned
You feel them squirm or even give a tiny slide when you're leant over, and at that point I assume that I am at the limit. But they never felt like they were going to wash out on me suddenly. These were great tyres, as were the SportSmart 3s. I've since moved on to Michelin Power 5s, which I have yet to see the limit of.
Just finished my first trackday on RSIII and didnt feel the squirms (I’m a novice). Do the SportSmarts 3 have the same feeling though when close to limit?
Thank you it worked very well
I'm still learning to ride, mod 1 next month. Great video, thanks for uploading. Great dynamic with your child which I hope to emulate with my daughter when she's a bit older. Nice one.
Мужик, спасибо тебе за видео. Не знал как решить эту проблему. Теперь попробую твой совет!!!
I shake my head at how a company can build one of the best engines and throw some of the worst parts at it. Some it seems from quite a distance
Well, to be fair all bikes have something where the manufacturer dropped the ball. I still have this bike, and after nearly 4 years and 33,000 miles it's still in very nice condition, so it's not all bad from a build quality point of view.
Mount new shock absorber ant THEN try to do a video on how it goes.? Man COULD have been so nice
I know, what a dumbass, right? Still, it demonstrates that if a doofus like me can fit the shock, anyone can do it.
I m interested in Nitron or KTech I dont want the remote preload but DO want resvoir....I cant find anything showing install for 2022+ Anyone?
well I bought a like new Nitron R3 taken off another MT10... 2 years new with similar rider specs to me so now I get to figure out how to mount the thing! I want to change the exhaust too so maybe do both at once? Would that give me clearance for jack stands wirh cat off?? idk
How to reset instalation 🤷♂️
I just sat on mine since since 17?
Friend, could you indicate where the sliders or fairing protector are placed on this bike! CBR 600 RR, thank you
They replace one of the engine mount bolts on each side. You have to drill a hole in the side fairings to fit them.
Considering the size/weight of sensors did you have to rebalance your wheels?
I did think about it, but I didn't bother, and didn't experience any issues. When I later got a new tyre fitted, I got the fitter to balance it with the sensor on. But yes, getting the wheels rebalanced immediately would be the correct way to go about it.
i have one of these for my 05 cbr600rr and i can't find the wire under the seat! lmao! of COURSE it's NOT THERE for me ffs
hello, it's been a while. I ask how's the tyre pressure today is still alive.?
Yep, it's still going. The rechargeable battery in the main unit has become a bit grumpy about charging - it only charges with very low output USB, e.g. it will charge off the port on a laptop, but not from a phone charger. But all in all, I can't complain. If you're just commuting, the batter still lasts for several weeks. The only real problem is that this particular model is harder to get on Ebay, and has near-doubled in price. There are other cheaper units available, but the quality doesn't inspire much confidence.
Put mine in the freezer for about 30 minutes,,,, then gently and slowly heated the casing,,, flip over and utilizing a 6 mm allen key and a swift gentle blow with a hammer and that front seal and bearing popped right out 🙂
Thanx for the video, was helpfull.
Around 5:15 it seems you lose the cap and the tire started to get deflated right away. I guess that cant be true otherwise you can pump up the tire. Could you explain this in a bit. This gadget looks useful but this concerns me a bit :)
I wouldn't be concerned - the caps are on there firmly, and they are not going to undo themselves. I have about 25,000 miles with this now and no issues.
Many thanks!
Damm that's clean
Hello..can you tell me what the black box is just behind the seat lock please. The one with a black rubber band around it. . it was ticking so I pulled it apart to find cogs in it , I put the cogs back together and now it's stopped ticking ...Great:-) Only my cruise control has now stopped working and my engine management light is now on with a flashing cruise control light.. Any help I'd appreciate Thanks..
It's the exhaust valve servo mate.
@@jaudicedbrow thankyou I found out. I have now fitted an eliminator
Thank you
Mine just keeps flashing L am I doing it wrong? Please help
Did you manage to solve this? Same issue for me
Is there any way to replace monitors battery?
If I remember right, the battery is soldered to the board. Not impossible clearly, but not as simple as slotting a new one in.
Hello i have this gear indicator and not work flash F, help?
The indicator plugs into the bike's diagnostic port. It is possible that there is actually a fault with the bike. There was this time when mine started flashing F, and I thought there was a problem with the gear indicator. But actually, it turned out there was an unrelated electrical problem with the bike (the earth connection to the frame had come loose). So the 'F' was in fact correct.
@@jaudicedbrow so it is possible that there is no ground on the motor?
@@emilmilenkovski4104 No, I just mean it's possible that the indicator is reading a genuine fault on the bike. What that fault is, I couldn't tell you - it could be any one of a numer of things. But... there is also the possibility that the gear indicator is faulty. You could chase this for weeks, tear the bike apart, and never find the issue. To be honest, if your bike is running okay, my advice would be to ignore it and go without the gear indicator.
Great idea. Have you thought about using rubber lined P-clips on the subframe to mate? I'm pretty sure that will stop most of the movement.
Very nice kid
rebuilding mine today it took a crap and was leaking and not allowing fuel to carbs 2 and 3
How did you find this? Much improvement in comfort/performance?
It's an improvement - mainly noticeable in terms of high speed control - it allows you to push on a bit harder on bumpy roads without things getting out of shape. Low speed comfort is better... but it's still a bit 'crashy' to be honest. The reality is that although these shocks cost a chunk of cash, they are still relatively 'budget' in the world of suspension. You get what you pay for, and this is a cost / performance / comfort compromise that I'm okay with.
@@jaudicedbrow great stuff, thanks
Mine is like that too
I think I will stick with Kawasaki
Is the blue light easy to see on a bright sunny day?
Yeah, it's very bright. A bit distracting if you are riding at night actually.
@@jaudicedbrow thanks!
I had one of these and after around 12 months one of the sensors stopped working. I replaced the battery but it still wouldn't work. I bought a second tpm and this time the valve cap sensors were metal instead of plastic. 2 years onwards and the unit is still going strong with no problems. I'm not sure if the temperature displayed is accurate but I have checked the pressure readings with two different gauges and they are accurate. Great video. Ride safe. 👍
what brand is that sir? may I have the link where do you purchased it?
Great video, try the s22's for a comparison
Just half an hour ago, I was on my knees, trying to find some kind of screw to adjust the beam, because driving at night made everyone crazy at me. I tried all types of screwdriver bits, flat, Philips, I also tried my patience really hard and didn't push the bike to the other side of the sidestand, as I was watching chips of plastic falling on the floor at each turn of the screwdriver!!!!😠😠😠😠 nothing happened, it doesn't move and the hole where that cog lives is like sh#t right now. I can't believe Yamaha some times...I've got a 2020 mt10.
Thanks! I needed to know this :) You should add some vaseline to the rubber seals, they will not leak after that. Cheers.
Doesn't petrol dissolve Vaseline? It's basically petroleum jelly, no?
Your seat is so shiny compared to my sp
Cheers, m8
I watched this video gave me the idea to shim with velcro locks the seat in place pretty good
I'm goin to the hardware store tomorrow!! Only had my 21 for a few weeks and the seat movement has been bugging the shit outta me!!! Thanks a million for this!!
One of the simplest add ons for our bikes. I put one on within a few days of having my bike, couldn't stand not easily seeing what gear I was in. Simple insulation and programming. I put mine just left of the dash cluster, easy spot to see and or if the way.
Brilliant I just picked up a brand new MT10sp and the seat does that. The build quality on the rest of the bike is superb but thats lets it down.
Best all-round bike out there even better performance/value than a Gs
That dual type of valvewith the two hoses are for the MASTER cylinder.
That doesnt make any sense, could you elaborate please?
@@cyberkiller83 Some master cylinders have their own bleed nipple, in addition to those on the brake caliper. Maybe I'm wrong, but I think dundeeecroc is suggesting that one hose should go to the master, and the other to the caliper. I don't see that they would stretch that far though. CBR600RR standard brakes don't have a separate nipple for the master, so... whatever works, right?🙂
This is awesome. I've switched to sport touring tyres a couple yeats ago because I'm not fast enough to get the most out of slicks yet. Decided when i could slide the rear comfortably under control then I'll swith to sport tyres. Then when I can lap within seconds of each lap then I'll go slick
how accurate is it?
Aligns spot on with my mechanical pressure gauge.
OK 👌 cool merci pour la vidéo je vais essayer ça au plus vite
